Jose Alvarez

Jose Alvarez was a witness to the Levelland UFO case on November 2, 1957, in Levelland, Texas. At approximately 11:00 pm, Alvarez reported encountering a strange object sitting on a road approximately 11 miles north of Levelland. According to his account, his vehicle's engine died when the object was present and resumed functioning after the object departed. His testimony was among the multiple reports investigated by Project Blue Book, the U.S. Air Force's official UFO research program, though the Air Force ultimately attributed the sightings to electrical phenomena such as ball lightning or St. Elmo's fire occurring during thunderstorm conditions in the area.
