Orfeo Angelucci
Orfeo Matthew Angelucci (1912-1993), an American author and UFO contactee, was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on June 25, 1912, and died on July 24, 1993. Frail and nervous, he experimented with balloons and electricity before moving to California in 1947 for health reasons, working at the Lockheed aircraft plant in Burbank. In 1952, he claimed initial contact with benevolent extraterrestrials during a drive home, experiencing telepathic communication, saucer rides to orbit, and a 'missing time' episode where he inhabited the body of 'space brother' Neptune on an asteroid. Angelucci lectured widely in the 1950s-1960s, authoring key books like The Secret of the Saucers (1955), Son of the Sun, The Nature of Infinite Entities, and others, influencing UFOlogy with tales of spiritual, human-like aliens from a destroyed planet.
