Vasya Surin
Vasya Surin was a Soviet schoolchild who served as a primary witness to the 1989 Voronezh UFO incident in Russia. On September 27, 1989, Surin and other children were playing soccer in a public park in Voronezh when they reportedly observed a UFO hovering overhead. According to witness accounts, a tall humanoid being with three eyes emerged from the craft. Surin's testimony, along with that of approximately 35-40 adult witnesses at a nearby bus stop, became central to one of the most widely publicized UFO cases of the Soviet era. The incident was investigated by Genrikh Silanov of the Voronezh Geophysical Laboratory and received official attention from Soviet authorities during the glasnost period, though scientific consensus ultimately categorized the case as unproven due to lack of corroborating physical evidence.
