German news agency dpa distorted key testimony: Symington had described a massive, delta-shaped craft with a clearly defined outer edge, while dpa rendered this as racing projectiles in tight formation. Jafaris detailed account of the 1976 Tehran intercept was reduced to a single misleading sentence. German media largely ignored the event despite its international significance.
