Monterey County: Sheriff Sergeant Observes Blue Light Over Toro Park Road
On Thanksgiving Day, 26 November 2009, a sergeant of the Monterey County Sheriff's Department (identified in the investigation by the pseudonym Witness D) observed a blue luminous object at approximately 250 meters altitude over Toro Park Road near its intersection with Highway 68 south of Salinas, California.
A separate civilian independently reported the same sighting to the Sheriff's office. The object displayed characteristics inconsistent with known aircraft or atmospheric phenomena.
This event proved to be the first in a three-part Salinas-Monterey UAP cluster spanning late 2009 to early 2010. The same blue light pattern was subsequently associated with the 20 December 2009 triangular craft encounter in Salinas and the 7 January 2010 bell-shaped UAP photographed near Old Stage Road. The involvement of a law enforcement professional as the primary witness, combined with the independent civilian corroboration, lends the initial sighting particular credibility within the cluster sequence.
