Salinas CA: Bell-Shaped UAP Photographed, Color-Shifting, F-18 Response
On the night of 7 January 2010, two witnesses returning from San Jose observed a bell-shaped UAP approximately car-sized at the intersection of Crazy Horse Canyon Road and Old Stage Road near Salinas, California. The object displayed shifting colors cycling through red, yellow, and white, with a visible emission trail.
The craft repeatedly approached and retreated from the witnesses at varying altitudes, exhibiting what appeared to be deliberate interactive behavior. Two photographs were captured on a mobile phone during the encounter. Subsequently, F-18 fighter aircraft were observed in the area.
This event represented the third in a cluster of Salinas-Monterey area UAP sightings documented between Thanksgiving 2009 and January 2010. The earlier events included a blue light over Toro Park Road on November 26, 2009, and a larger triangular craft encounter on December 20, 2009 (already documented as a separate timeline event). All three incidents were investigated under the MUFON/BAASS framework.
