Background
On July 24, 2020, United States Strategic Command generated a Top Secret activity report for internal distribution. The document referenced an entity designated as UAP JIATF, abbreviation for Unidentified Aerial Phenomenology Joint Inter-agency Task Force. This nomenclature appeared nearly two weeks before formal UAPTF establishment on August 4, 2020. The report detailed plans to brief Admiral Charles Richard, then Commander of USSTRATCOM, on unidentified aerial phenomena. The document surfaced publicly in December 2022 through Freedom of Information Act proceedings initiated by The Black Vault.
