United States Strategic Command
The United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) is a U.S. government military command founded in 1992 through the merger of U.S. Strategic Air Command and U.S. Space Command, headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. As a unified combatant command, it oversees strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, missile defense, global strike, and space operations. Key activities include command and control of nuclear forces, space domain awareness, and intelligence sharing. In UAP/UFO contexts, USSTRATCOM monitors space domain UAP reports from pilots and observers at altitudes over 100 km, as noted in AARO's FY2024 report, contributing to national security assessments of potential adversarial breakthroughs. Notable achievements encompass maintaining continuous nuclear alert and advancing space surveillance. It remains fully operational as of 2026.
