Background

On June 9, 2020, The Black Vault obtained declassified materials through FOIA Case 2020-02456-F, formally confirming AFOSI's 2018 investigation into the leaked 'Gimbal,' 'Flir1,' and 'GoFast' videos. The disclosure package included four pages of investigation records and twenty-one pages of Naval Air Systems Command emails. Although the release letter bore the date April 14, 2020, the records were not delivered until June. One attachment remained classified and withheld, possibly referenced within the released emails.
