Background
On December 23, 2022, President Biden signed the NDAA FY2023 containing 15 pages of historic UAP legislation. The law included: whistleblower protections allowing anyone with UAP-related NDAs to speak to Congress in classified settings; acknowledgment of UAP capture/recovery/reverse-engineering programs; establishment of AARO; mandatory reporting from January 1, 1945; and protection from reprisals.
Significance
The most comprehensive UAP law ever signed, creating the legal architecture for UAP transparency that governs disclosure to this day.
