Around 2022, Garry Reid was reassigned from OUSD(I) to DIA following an Inspector General investigation into alleged misconduct.
Background
Elizondo's longtime adversary at the Pentagon, Garry Reid, was reassigned from OUSD(I) to DIA as a "special advisor" following a long-running Inspector General investigation into alleged sexual harassment and other claims. Reid had previously overseen efforts to discredit Elizondo and obstruct AATIP and the UAP Task Force.
Significance
The fall of Elizondo's primary institutional adversary, removing a key obstacle to UAP transparency within the Pentagon.
