Brazilian UFO Magazine
Revista UFO, known as the Brazilian UFO Magazine, is a prominent civilian publication dedicated to UAP/UFO research. Founded in 1988 by ufologist Ademar José Gevaerd in Brazil, it succeeded his earlier magazine Ufologia Nacional & Internacional (1985-1986). Gevaerd, who edited it until his death in 2022, also led the Brazilian Center for Flying Saucer Research (CBPDV) and served as MUFON's Brazilian director. Key activities include publishing monthly issues on UFO sightings, investigations, and government cases like the 1986 Official UFO Night with 21 objects chased by Air Force jets; analysis of events such as Varginha 1996; and advocacy for disclosure of archived SIOANI documents. With a circulation of 30,000, it remains Brazil's largest UFO magazine, active post-Gevaerd via consultants like Varginha researcher Pacaccini. Notable achievements: documenting Brazilian Air Force testimonies and influencing public discourse on declassified UFO files.
