Office of Science and Technology Policy
government
The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), founded in 1976, is a U.S. government department within the Executive Office of the President. It advises the President on science, technology, and innovation policies. In UAP/UFO research, OSTP has coordinated federal efforts, including directing NASA in 2022 to form an independent UAP study team for scientific data analysis on phenomena origins and airspace risks. This complements DoD's AARO. Notable achievements include advancing transparent, data-driven UAP studies via NASA. OSTP remains active, promoting interagency collaboration on UAP as of 2024.
