Donald Raymond Schmitt, an American UFO researcher, graduated cum laude from Concordia University with a liberal arts degree. He served as special investigator for Dr. J. Allen Hynek, scientific consultant to Project Blue Book, then as Director of Special Investigations and co-director of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) for ten years. A seven-time bestselling author, his key works include 'UFO Crash at Roswell' (1991, co-authored with Kevin Randle), adapted into the Golden Globe-nominated TV movie 'Roswell'; 'Witness to Roswell' (with Thomas J. Carey), the world's top-selling UFO book for two years; and 'Cover-Up at Roswell', optioned for film. He co-founded the International UFO Museum and Research Center (IUFOMRC) in Roswell, NM, where he is Lead Investigator, and the International Coalition on Extraterrestrial Research (ICER), serving as U.S. representative. Schmitt has lectured globally, appeared on Oprah, CNN, and others, and teaches on Roswell at Ubiquity University. He lives on a ranch near Milwaukee.
