Edward U. Condon

Edward Uhler Condon (1902-1974) was an American nuclear physicist who led the University of Colorado UFO Project (1966-1968), commonly known as the Condon Committee. The resulting Condon Report concluded that UFO studies were unlikely to advance scientific knowledge, effectively ending official U.S. Air Force involvement in UFO investigations (Project Blue Book). Despite the report's dismissive conclusions, internal committee members and later researchers criticized Condon's methodology and predetermined bias against the UFO phenomenon.
