Frank J. Gshwandtner (born 1941, nationality: American) was a pioneering figure in UAP/UFO research and a key participant in military-government UFO programs. As a U.S. Air Force officer and engineer, he served at Wright-Patterson AFB during the 1960s, contributing to Project Blue Book investigations. Gshwandtner analyzed radar-visual sightings and physical evidence from UFO cases, including the 1966 Portage County chase. He later testified before Congress in 1968 on unexplained aerial phenomena, advocating for continued scientific study. Post-military, he consulted for private UFO groups and authored reports on electromagnetic effects of UAP encounters. His work bridged official programs and civilian research, influencing declassification efforts. Notable publications include technical papers in 'UFO Investigator' (1965-1970). Gshwandtner passed away in 2015.
