Marion Michael "Mike" Rounds, born October 24, 1954, is an American politician who has served as U.S. Senator from South Dakota since 2015. He is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Intelligence Committee. Prior to his election to the Senate, Rounds served as governor of South Dakota from 2003 to 2011. He was elected to the South Dakota State Senate in 1990, where he served as majority leader from 1995 to 2000.

Rounds has been one of the key bipartisan figures pushing for UAP transparency. He has co-sponsored UAP-related legislative amendments and publicly stated that UAP encounters reported by military personnel were "real" and deserved serious investigation. He engaged alongside Republicans like Rubio and Democrats like Gillibrand to maintain bipartisan congressional momentum on UAP issues.

Rounds supported key initiatives for UAP investigation and protection. He advocated for the establishment of AARO and pushed for strong whistleblower protections for individuals coming forward with UAP information.
