Peter Hill-Norton
Peter Hill-Norton (1915-2004) was a British Admiral of the Fleet, former Chief of the Defence Staff (1970-1971), and a peer in the House of Lords. A prominent UFO advocate, he tirelessly questioned the Ministry of Defence (MoD) on unexplained aerial phenomena, including the 1980 Rendlesham Forest incident. In a 1985 letter, he challenged the MoD's dismissal of USAF reports of a metallic triangular object leaving radiation traces, arguing it indicated vulnerability in British airspace. Over 350 pages of declassified files document his advocacy in Parliament, pressing for investigations into UFO sightings like those at RAF Cosford and others. He delivered speeches on UFO crash reports and related events in 2001. His efforts highlighted potential national security implications of UAP intrusions.
