Kristie Canegallo
Kristie Canegallo is an American government official who served as Acting Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this role, she was involved in evaluating proposed UFO-related programs. In 2011, DHS Under Secretary for Science and Technology established Kona Blue as a prospective special access program (PSAP) to continue the Department of Defense's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP, formerly AAWSAP), citing claims of relevant information, material, congressional interest, and homeland security impacts. Six months later, Canegallo disapproved and directed the immediate termination of Kona Blue, due to inadequate justification, insufficient information on personnel and budget requirements, and concerns over the proposal's adequacy. No birth or death years are publicly known. She has no noted publications or public testimony in the UAP field beyond this administrative decision.
