Vasily Alexejev was a Russian Major General and former head of a Soviet military research division responsible for investigating anomalous phenomena, including unidentified aerial objects.

• During the Soviet era, Alexejev was involved in the military track of the SETKA program (SETKA-MO), which operated under the Ministry of Defence to collect intelligence on UAP activity near strategic military assets.

In 2000, Alexejev gave a detailed interview to the German magazine \"Magazin 2000\", providing one of the most authoritative Russian military confirmations of Cold War-era UAP research.
