The Comissão Brasileira de Ufologia (CBU) was founded in 1979 and is the leading Brazilian civilian UFO investigation organization, led by researcher and journalist A.J. Gevaerd. CBU publishes the UFO Magazine (Brazil's longest-running UFO publication) and successfully campaigned for the declassification of Brazilian Air Force UFO files, including the Operação Prato documents in 2005.
