John F. Kennedy
John F. Kennedy (1917-1963), American president (1961-1963), had limited direct involvement in UAP/UFO research but his administration intersected with government UFO programs and related conspiracies. During his presidency, CIA efforts in UFO studies continued, including high-altitude U-2 flights misidentified as UFOs and the 1953 Robertson Panel's influence on policy. Newly released JFK assassination files (2023) reveal CIA spy Reuben Efron, who monitored Lee Harvey Oswald's mail pre-assassination, also reported sighting 'flying saucers' in the Soviet Union in 1955 with Senator Richard Russell. Conspiracy literature, like Kenn Thomas's 'JFK & UFO' (2003), links early UFO events such as Maury Island (1947) to JFK's death via figures like Fred Crisman, subpoenaed in Jim Garrison's probe, alleging military-industrial cover-ups. No known JFK publications or testimony on UFOs exist; records at his library are minimal.
